Matthew Riddle and Keith Burchell, South Gloucestershire Councillors for the Severn Vale Ward.

South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) provides all the services provided by both a District Council  and County Council including adult and children social services, highways, planning, libraries, street lighting, pest control, collection of recyclables and waste, to name but a few.

South Gloucestershire is part of the historic and ceremonial County of Gloucestershire and also part of the West of England Combined Authority. South Gloucestershire  covers an area from Oldbury-on-Severn to Longwell Green and Filton to Marshfield. It has sixty-one  Councillors

The Severn Vale Ward covers Oldbury-on- Severn, Hill, Rockhampton, Aust, Littleton-on-Severn, Elberton, Olveston, Tockington, Old Down, Ingst, Woodhouse Down, Awkley, Lower Hazel, Alveston, Earthcott, Woodhouse Down, Almondsbury, Lower Almondsbury and Hortham.

Our two Councillors for the Severn Vale Ward are Matthew Riddle and Keith Burchell.

Keith is the Chair of the SGC Development Management Committee, serves on the Council’s Regulatory Committee and is a Member of the Lower Severn Internal Drainage Board. Matthew is one of the Lead Members of the Council’s Scrutiny Committee. Matthew also is a member of Oldbury Parish Council, Chair of the Lower Internal Drainage Board and Vice Chair of the Oldbury Power Station Site Stakeholder Group.

Keith and Matthew are always pleased to hear from local residents on local issues and will help local residents whenever they can. They work closely with the local Parish Councils.
